As we continue to scale rapidly, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Sofia. This person will help us build our in-house accounting department from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and sending client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage AR collections and reporting processes for customers.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Perform AR balance reconciliations.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.
• Process invoice corrections, reissues, and adjustments as required.
• Handle chargebacks and disputes, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
• Help maintain up-to-date billing and collections records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or billing issues.
• Support monthly closing activities related to billing and collections.
• Perform basic data analysis and reporting using Excel or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior experience or an internship in billing, collections, finance, or accounting is a plus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong attention to detail, with solid organizational and analytical skills
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional client-facing correspondence
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
