The opportunity

We are a well-funded GenAI startup transforming how Home Services businesses capture and convert demand. Our cutting-edge AI solutions are revolutionizing the Home Services industry. Our AI-powered platform sits at the center of the customer journey, helping contractors turn every inbound interaction into revenue. As we continue to scale rapidly, we’re looking for an Inbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be the front door of our revenue engine.

As an Inbound SDR, you will be the first person prospective customers interact with when they raise their hand. You’ll respond to demo requests, event leads, and marketing-driven inquiries, qualify real buying intent, and ensure high-quality opportunities are seamlessly handed off to our Account Executives. Your ability to move fast, stay organized, and deliver a strong first impression will directly impact pipeline and revenue.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys clear processes, and wants a defined path into closing roles.

Key responsibilities

Inbound Lead Response: Respond quickly to inbound demo requests, website inquiries, event leads, and marketing-generated prospects, ensuring all high-intent leads are contacted within SLA.

Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound prospects against defined ICP criteria including company size, vertical, use case, timing, and urgency to determine true sales readiness.

Opportunity Routing: Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Executive with clear context, notes, and next steps to ensure a strong handoff.

Buyer Experience: Deliver a professional, helpful, and consultative first interaction that sets the tone for the entire sales process and reflects the Lace brand.

Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain accurate lead statuses, activity logs, and follow-ups in HubSpot to ensure clean, reliable pipeline data.

Follow-Up Management: Own follow-ups for no-shows, reschedules, and unresponsive leads to maximize conversion from inbound demand.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Sales Operations to optimize inbound workflows, routing logic, and conversion rates.

Process Adherence: Follow defined inbound processes while providing feedback to improve speed, quality, and consistency as volume scales.

Metrics & Performance Tracking: Track and consistently hit key SDR metrics such as speed-to-lead, meeting set rate, qualification rate, and pipeline contribution.

Qualifications

Sales Experience: 6–12 months of experience in an SDR, BDR, or customer-facing sales role, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently qualify prospects and guide conversations.

Inbound Execution: Comfortable handling high inbound volume while prioritizing urgency, responsiveness, and lead quality.

Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot, Nooks, ChiliPiper, or similar platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Process Discipline: Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong ability to follow structured processes and maintain clean data.

Coachability: Open to feedback and eager to improve through coaching, call reviews, and continuous learning.

Industry Familiarity: Experience or interest in the Home Services industry is a plus but not required.

Growth Mindset: Motivated by performance, clear career progression, and a desire to grow into closing or advanced revenue roles.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally to our Mountain View office and industry events as needed.
